Kid's Program

More than 80% of everything we learn is a result of visual processing, however, it is estimated that over 10 million children suffer from undetected vision problems due to lack of proper evaluation.  DON'T LET THIS BE YOUR CHILD!

Unlike a basic school visual screening, Healthy Eyes for Life will test your child's:  visual acuities, eye focusing, eye teaming, eye tracking, and eye-hand coordination.

Warning Signs of Poor Vision

* Poor reading abilities

* Frequent rubbing or blinking of the eye

* Avoiding close work

* Squinting or covering one eye

* Hyperactivity and distractibility

* Poor hand-eye coordination skills

* Frequent headaches

If your child is experiencing any of the above symptoms please contact us immediately! (316) 729-8900

Do Infants Need Eye Care Too?

Dr. Fiegel believes that your child's first visit to the optometrist should be at 3-years, HOWEVER, anytime you feel there may be a problem in your infants vision call us right away to schedule an appointment.

Dr. Fiegel will test for visual acuity, excessive or unequal amounts of nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, evaluate eye alignment, and examine eye teaming ability.  The health of your baby’s eyes will be assessed as well. Although problems are not common, it is important to identify children who have specific risk factors at this stage. Vision development and eye health problems can be more easily corrected if treatment is begun early.
